10 years today!

Today is our 10 year anniversary.

We were married in the St. George temple June 3, 1999 in the evening.

How did we meet: When I moved to Cedar City we moved into Courtney's ward. He had just graduated from high school , but stayed in the ward for the summer.

Our first date: Since Courtney was still going to YM/YW's he heard everyone talking about Sadie Hawkins and mentioned (hinted) that he'd never been asked to Sadies's so I asked him. I have that picture in my photos somewhere, but it hasn't been scanned in yet.

What was next: Courtney went on to his mission, and I went on to High school enjoying all the activities, dances etc.

Then what? After Courtney's mission he asked me to the institutes Harvest Ball, and we went in a group with his brother Ryan, and Ben Haider who went with Brittney Davis. Here is our picture from the dance.

Then Courtney asked me to go on a double date with him and Ryan to see Bug's Life in December.

Then we went on a date to celebrate my birthday in March, we ate at JB's and went bowling.

Then we went on another date and watched the movie Summer of the Monkey's at his parents house and ate bubble gum ice cream. That night was also the first time he told me he loved me, but he actually didn't say it out loud-he wrote it in my hand about two seconds before Ryan walked in the room. After that we went on dates twice a week, then about every night or two, and also I invited him to another institute dance, which was the second time he told me he loved me -while we were dancing. After the dance we played Monopoly with my roommate Amanda.

Then Courtney invited me to spend Easter weekend with his family. He went out camping the night before out at Three Peaks with his family and Ben Haider. Courtney called my on his cell phone that night, and Ben thought he was being so funny try to but in on the conversation and ask what my ring size was. The plan was for everyone to go out there that next morning, but it snowed so instead my first time to Three Peaks was riding out there while they collected all their camping stuff. Because it was bad weather they ended up spending the day at Courtney's parents house, which was a very different experience because he has a big family. I made a smart decision and played with the kids the whole day. That evening we played monopoly again, and then went to lock up the church 'cause that was his family's calling. He ended up proposing that night, but we decided we should fast about it and see each other the next night, which ended up being the longest fireside in Institute history (or at least it seemed like that). After the fireside we went back to lock up the church again, and he proposed again, but properly down on one knee. Then we went to tell both sets of parents which was easy since the only lived a street over from each other, but Courtney used a sense of incredible timing to tell me right before we went in to announce it to his parents that his mom had said the night before(when he'd already proposed once but she didn't know) not to rush into anything. The funny thing was Ben wouldn't believe Courtney when he told him-since he'd teased Courtney so much he thought he was being pranked.
This next picture was a dance at the college once we were engaged. At first we were going to get married in August before college started back up, but with my parents house for sale and their plan to move back to Texas, it just worked out that we got married in June. Here's a picture from our wedding day. I went through the temple the night before. We got married in the evening so my dad didn't have to take any days off of work so he could save his vacation days for once they actually moved.

Now on to any other pictures of us together that I already had digital copies of:

So here's where we are today, looking forward to the next 10 years and more.
